Some examples of conditions affecting children that may require dermatologist evaluation and care are eczema, warts, molluscum, impetigo, birthmarks, and moles.

Some conditions that commonly affect adolescents/teenagers include ringworm, acne, warts, eczema, hives, herpes simplex (cold sores), psoriasis, allergic rashes, vitiligo, poison (ivy, oak, sumac), and genital warts.
